About Us

Toxero was built on one simple belief: Every motivated student can excel at math when it is taught properly.

What began as a personal frustration — the absence of quality, structured math resources for middle school students, became a career-long commitment to building something better. Every unit, every lesson, every problem in this program has been written, tested, refined and brutally criticized in real classrooms – with real students. This curriculum did not come from a textbook committee or a publishing house. It came from nearly two decades of my daily dedication to understanding exactly how middle school students learn, where they get lost, what is lacking in the classroom — and what it takes for them to achieve academic success.

I am a certified Ontario teacher with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto (double major in Biology and Sociology). I have nearly 20 years of classroom and one-on-one experience with students from Grade 5 through Grade 12. My background in science shapes everything about how I teach. Each lesson has been designed to build genuine comprehension. They are all meticulously organized within the entire program so that the learning can be applied to other lessons, units and even courses. Programs are designed to successfully prepare students for the rigor of high school — and well beyond.

When kids struggle with math, it usually has nothing to do with them.
Most students simply aren’t exposed to enough of the right problems or taught with enough intentionality, to truly master the material.
Toxero Fixes That.

A note I am particularly proud of: The vast majority of my private clients over the last two decades have been the children of educators — principals and teachers who recognize the limitations of the education system, but also understand the importance of accessing what works. Expertise Recognizes Expertise.
